Portfolio Design

After being honorably discharged from the United States Navy as Lieutenant, Dana has labored 16 years,  providing personal financial planning and wealth management to hundreds of clients.   He has helped clients just starting out in life and those who are preparing to retire in the near future.  The majority of his clients are between the ages of 50 to 70.   In November of 2006 he passed the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ exam on his first sitting and started his FIDUCIARY NAPFA practice.   Dana has a BA in Economics and completed his financial planning course work from Utah State University.

INVESTMENT PHILOSOPHY:

We believe in the weak form of the Efficient Market Hypothesis.  This form suggests that historical price data is already reflected in current stock prices and is of no value in predicting future price changes.  We reject the use of classic technical analysis and market timing.

Our strategy in engineering a portfolio for our clients is based on financial science.  We use proven research from leading researchers and nobel prize winning economists to engineer a portfolio that will mininize your risk and maximize your rate of return.

About Paladin Registry:

Paladin Registry is an independent information services company that evaluates and rates the qualification of financial advisors and planners. Paladin issues one to five star ratings based on a comprehensive review of the advisors’ credentials, ethics, business practices, and financial services. These four categories of advisor characteristics have the greatest impact on their ability to deliver competent, ethical advice and quality services.

Paladin conducted extensive research to identify the information that more than 4,000 investors said they wanted from advisors before they selected them. Then Paladin developed documentation that provides that information including: professional profiles, disclosure statements, Code of Ethics, firm data, and an Internet publishing service for advisor articles.

Since 2004, Paladin has reviewed the qualifications of more than 16,000 advisors and awarded its five star rating to the top 7%. This quality rating requires advisors to meet the highest minimum standards in the financial services industry for their credentials, ethics, business practices, and services. Only five star rated professionals are invited to be profiled in the Paladin Registry. You can view advisor documentation by going to www.paladinregistry.com/advisor/dana.hornquist.
